CALENDAR OF EVENTS:
Every Monday evening (except on holidays and, of course, during Hawaii Ski Week), at 4:30 PM, a group of ski club members and their friends play tennis at Keehi Lagoon Courts, off Lagoon Drive. Stay in shape and enjoy a "careful social hour" afterwards.
June 5 (5:00 pm) General Membership Meeting at Mangiamo.
June 7 (7:30 am) Volunteering for Special Olympics at Kaiser High School.
July 3 (5:00 pm) General Membership Meeting/Cookout at Rainbow Bay Marina, Pearl Harbor.
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Following the election at our May General Membership Meeting, we elected officers for the 2025-2026 year at our board meeting on May 15: Sandra Robbins continues as Secretary, Jonathan Carr continues as Treasurer, and our new Vice President, (trumpets please) is Michiro "Mitch" Iwanaga. Mitch, of course, is replacing Anita Hodges for whom we had a very nice farewell party on May 3 at the Esplanade in Hawaii Kai: It was very well attended with a number of older members, whom we hadn't seen in some time, coming out to bid Anita adieu. Mahalo aplenty to Alan for organizing the event. Speaking of events, we may be having a Pau Hana in June, in the Pearl City area. so watch your email. Also, as indicated on the schedule and announcement below, on the evening of July 3, we are back to Rainbow Bay Marina, instead of Mangiamo, for the mid summer party we had for two or three years in a row before the Withy's home in Kailua last year. Geof, of course, will be grilling. We will be at Mangiamo on Thursday, June 5, a couple of weeks from now, and I hope to see a lot of you there.

Get an early start to the
July 4th holiday by coming to our General
Membership Meeting on July 4th eve where the food will be "on the house,"
at Rainbow Bay Marina, Pearl Harbor. Rainbow Bay
Marina is the outdoor picnic area with cabanas on the right hand side
(facing towards the ocean) of Restaurant 604, Pearl Harbor. We have held
our October Kick-Off Meetings and, at least, a couple of Pre-Trip Packet Pickup
Parties here in the past. For those of you who unfamiliar with the
area, enter Pearl Harbor off Kamehameha Highway as if you were going to the
Arizona Memorial, take a right on the inner road (Arizona Memorial Place),
and drive approximately 1/4 mile. As soon as you go under the Ford
Island viaduct, you are there. Restuarant
604 is facing the ocean and we are on the picnic grounds right beside it. This
is BYOB, and please carry out your drink containers rather than
depositing them in the refuse receptacles at the venue or we will forfeit
the return of a
$100.00 deposit we gave them for cleanup.
