SCHWEITZER

A number of members have approached Geof and may be interested in going to Schweitzer Pre Ski Week 2027. We are looking at skiing Tuesday thru Friday, January 19 -22.  Monday is MLK Day.

With 300" of annual snowfall, Schweitzer's two bowls offer up a wintry mountain playground worth exploring. While there are 92 named trails on the mountain, some of the best powder stashes and "send it" worthy features can be found in hidden zones found in the trees or past a certain feature. The best part about skiing at Schweitzer is that there's a groomed intermediate trail off of every lift, meaning groups with a variety of ability levels can choose their own adventure and meet back for another lap.

Schweitzer has a small village with slopeside lodging and dining similar to the size of Revelstoke for those who went a few years ago. It is an IKON Pass destination. It is located about 200 miles west of Whitefish and approximately 3-1/2 hour drive between the two. Closest airport is Spokane International Airport about a two hour drive. Closest city is Sandpoint, Idaho. Geof has been to Schweitzer once and drove from Spokane. Feel free to visit www.schweitzer.com .
