CALENDAR OF EVENTS:
Additional events, such as concerts, hikes, excursions, may be added. Watch your email for possible updates.
Every Monday evening (except on holidays and, of course, during Hawaii Ski Week): 4:30 P.M. A group of ski club members and their friends play tennis at Keehi Lagoon courts, off Lagoon Drive. Stay in shape and share refreshments afterwards!
January 29 - February 6: HAWAII SKI WEEK, Park City, Utah.
February 13 (Saturday) 5:00 PM: Post Ski Week Party/continued voting for next year's destination at the Esplanade, Lunalilo Home Rd., Hawaii Kai.
February 18 (Thursday) 5:30 PM: Board Meeting at Henry Loui's.
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Thank you again, Paul, for reserving Rainbow Marina, Geoff, for bringing the food, and Geoff and Roy for their grilling skills at our well-attended Packet Pickup Party this past Friday evening. Also, a hearty Mahalo goes to those of you who helped with the cleanup at the end. The information and, yet again, fancy name tags in the packets only hints the pre-planning that goes into Hawaii Ski Week every year, and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated and hard-working Trip Committee. The only factor that is out of our control is snow, but it looks like we WILL have it this year.
During the trip, it won't be too soon to start thinking about where you want to go next year as the voting will commence at the party on the last evening in Park City and will continue, one short week later, at the Post Trip Party, at Sam's place. Hopefully, I'll be able to go next year (but I think I said that last year).
Bon Voyage, have a good, fun-packed week, stay safe, and see you on the other side.

Everybody, whether or not you went on the trip to Park City, is invited to the recreation area at Sylvia "Sam" Wright's condo building in Hawaii Kai on Saturday, February 13. This is where we had our Christmas party in December. While guest parking at the Esplanade is limited, there should be ample street parking available in reasonable proximity to the building. Park City "returnees" can thrill everyone with their stories of derring-do and share pictures. If you did not go on the trip to Park City, this is where you will have the opportunity to vote for next year's destination. This is both pot luck and BYOB. To get to the Esplanade, turn off Kalanianaole Highway at Lunalilio Home Road which is the last traffic light before the highway goes up the hill towards Hanauma Bay, drive in the mountain direction approximately .6 of a mile, and look for the looming white building complex on the left. You can briefly pull in to the small parking lot at the entryway to unload your car and, if your are lucky, find an available guest stall.

FREE TEE SHIRTS FOR NEW MEMBERSHIPS
Effective May 15, 2014, for a limited period of time, one free Ski Club tee shirt will be given to all new "Memberships," i.e. one per Membership, individual or family.
THE HAWAII SKI CLUB IS ON FACEBOOK
If you are on Facebook, add the HSC as a “friend.” You will be up-to-date with recent HSC activities that members upload. The HSC Facebook page has photos from members on ski trips and at Club activities. You can also include your personal photos and announcements relating to the club for all HSC members to view.
